How can I categorise Events by Type and Category using customised Attributes?

Introduction

Attributes can be used to categorise and organise your Events by Type and Category, which can be customised to suit your organisation, including classifications such as Genre, Venue, Age Group, or any other relevant segregation.

Benefits: Filtering and searching for events more efficiently, especially when you have a large number of events in your system .

Enabling more detailed reporting and analytics, such as pulling overall ticketing reports by sport or breaking down tickets sold by venue/location. By labeling events with attributes, you can filter reports to see data specific to those attributes

If enabled on your account, these Attributes can also be utilised within Customer Segments to identify customers who have attended specific Event types or categories. This data can then be used to create targeted mailing lists or retarget customers for similar Events in the future.

How can I create, edit or delete Event Attributes?

  1. Click Settings from the Account menu, then select Attributes
  2. Click Add, and complete the Attribute as required
    1. Name the Attribute (example: Event Type).
    2. Add your pick list options and click the blue tick to add each option.
    3. Click Save.
  3. Continue adding Attributes as required. Existing Attributes can also be edited or deleted at any time if changes are needed.


How can I apply Attributes to an Event?

  1. Open your respective Event and click Information
  2. Scroll to the Heading Extra, below Attributes click Add+
  3. Select the Attribute group, select the Attribute tag from the pick list, click Add
  4. Click Save
