How to Process a Rebooking for Transferred Tickets
Introduction
For more detailed information about rebookings, please refer to the Information and Summary section of our related help article: Related Help Article: How Can I Process an Internal Rebooking for a Customer?
Summary
If Ticket Transfers are enabled for your event, you may find that not all tickets are available to select when processing a rebooking.
- This can happen when one or more tickets have been transferred to another ticket holder.
- This guide explains how to reverse the ticket transfer so all tickets can be included in the rebooking.
- Following this process ensures that ticket sales, tickets issued and associated revenue are correctly removed from the original event and reallocated to the new event, with the revenue remaining linked to the original purchaser's transaction.
This process reverses the ticket transfer by validating the original ticket and invalidating the transferred ticket and allows the rebooking to be completed against the original purchaser’s transaction, rather than the transferred ticket holder.
Help Guide
- Open the original transaction. You will notice one of the tickets has an Invalid status.
- Click the invalid ticket to open the Ticket Menu and confirm that it has been transferred.
- Click the Ticket Transfer to view the full transfer details.
- Under Original Ticket, click Details → Validate → Confirm to change the ticket status to Valid.
- Under Transferred Ticket, click Details → Invalidate → Confirm to invalidate the transferred ticket.
- Click Refresh. The Original Ticket should now be Valid and the Transferred Ticket Invalid.
- Return to the original transaction. Both original tickets should now show as Valid.
- Click More Actions → Rebook. Both tickets will now be available to select.
- Complete the rebooking as usual.
